Japanese Seven Spice Blend
This is our interpretation of Shichimi Togarashi or “Seven Spice”: a well-balanced Japanese table seasoning. The spices work in harmony and were first mixed by herbalists in 17th century Edo, modern day Tokyo.
Main Ingredients: chili peppers, ginger, soy sauce, garlic
Deliciouser with: noodle soups, rice, eggs, tofu, ramen, chicken, avocados, salmon, black cod, fried chicken, popcorn

Suggested Uses:
Toast or grill bread- top with smashed avocado, a liberal drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of Togarashier
Cook eggs to your liking in toasted sesame oil- top with Togarashier
Use as a finishing spice with pan fried, roasted and grilled fish
Stir into mayonnaise and a splash of rice wine vinegar for a Deliciouser sandwich spread
Add to dark chocolate recipes for a pleasant surprise
Sprinkle on Asian noodle dishes, soups and ramen
Top warm edamame with salt and Togarashier
Add to shrimp scampi for an unexpected zing
Make a crust for fish with Togarashier and panko crumbs before searing
Sprinkle on grilled meats just before serving
Season fried chicken with a liberal dose of Togarashier
Make a cabbage slaw with Togarashier and light rice wine vinegar dressing
Sprinkle on almost anything for an added pop of flavor
Season chilled citrus fruits
Season tempura dishes
Add to deviled eggs
Add to melted butter and toss with stovetop popcorn
Whip into softened butter with a splash of rice wine vinegar- serve with grilled steaks, chicken and fish
